The advantage of standby mode compared to power off mode is the time to get it back toactive state (i.e. lamp on). After switching the projector to standby, the lamp is switched off and the cooling cycle is started (two minutes). Do not power offthe projector during the cooling cycle since doing so reduces the lamp life time.In case of SIM 7QP HB or SIM 7QP HB&C, the projector cannot be switched from active state to standby state within the first twominutes after it has been activated. Trying to do so pops up an alert message and the command is only executed after the twominutes period has expired.Image 6-4Switching to standby1.
