The system can be configured to run the VRRP protocol inconjunction with one or more other systems attached to a LAN.VRRP which manages automatic switchover from one VPN Concentrator toanother in a redundant installation. Automatic switchover provides useraccess to the VPN even if one VPN is out of service for some reason, forexample a system crash, power failure, hardware failure, physical interfacefailure, system shutdown or reboot. These functions apply only to installations where two or more VPNs are inparallel, with the Public interfaces of all systems on a common LAN and withthe Private and/or External interfaces of all systems on different commonLANs. One VPN is the Master system, and the others are Backup systems. ABackup system acts as a virtual Master system when a switchover occurs.VRRP works only on LAN (Ethernet) interfaces, not on WAN interfaces. To configure VRRP:1. Select Option 12 from the main menu.VRRP Configuration==================Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol can be defined, eachwith its own identifier.
