In the same way as when connected by a TIE Line, if a dialed number is not found at the local PBX, the callcan be sent to other PBXs connected via an IP network. When an extension number is dialed, the PBX firstsearches local extensions for a matching number. If there is no match, the PBX then checks the TIE LineRouting Table for the Gateway Group for a corresponding entry. If an entry is found, the call is sent to theconnected PBX.Automatic Rerouting of VoIP Calls to Public CO LinesWhen a VoIP call cannot be completed successfully, the PBX can automatically attempt to make the call usinga public CO line instead.
