Security (Cont'd)29Console Emulation ModeConsole Emulation Mode allows you to use a TouchCenter interfacejust as you would a regular system keypad. All commands shown inConsole Emulation mode can also be executed from a standard alphakeypad.Notes:• It is recommended that you do not use the Console EmulationMode to enter GOTO commands. Unsatisfactory operation mayresult from issuing GOTO commands in Console Emulation.• Two button panics (1 & *, 3 & #, and * & #) do not function in theConsole Emulation Mode. The A, B, C, and D buttons do function ifprogrammed as panic keys. Check with your system installer fordetails.• Commercial systems with Alpha keypads have a feature where ifyou press a key for 5 seconds, you will receive self help messagesabout the pressed key or holding the * key for 5 seconds willprovide zone descriptors. These features do not function in theTouchCenter as all key presses are instantaneous.How to Enter Console Emulation ModeTo access the TouchCenter "Keypad," do the following:1. From the "Home" screen, press the SECURITY button. The "Arming" screenis displayed.SCREEN ACTION2. Press the MORE CHOICES button.The "More Choices" screen is displayed.
