Chapter 2. CPU Features & SpecificationsGFK-2222AD April 2018 892.3.1 CPE030/CRE030 and CPE040/CRE040Serial Ports CPE030/CRE030 & CPE040/CRE040Each CPU has three independent, on-board serial ports, accessed by connectors onthe front of the module. COM1 and COM2 provide serial interfaces to externaldevices; either can be used for firmware upgrades. The third serial port is a dedicatedEthernet Station Manager port. For serial port pin assignments, electrical isolationand details on serial communications, refer to Chapter 5.Ethernet Ports CPE030/CRE030 & CPE040/CRE040Two RJ45 ports support Ethernet communications. Refer to RX7i EmbeddedEthernet Interface for details.Indicators CPE030/CRE030 & CPE040/CRE040Seven CPU LEDs indicate the operating status of various CPU functions. Two Comm LEDs indicate activity on COM1 and COM2.LED StateOn Blinking Off CPU Operating StateCPU OK On Green CPU has passed its power-up diagnostics and isfunctioning properly.Off CPU problem. RUN and OUTPUTS ENABLED LEDsmay be blinking in an error code pattern, which canbe used by technical support for diagnostics. Thiscondition and any error codes should be reported toyour technical support representative.Blinking GreenOther LEDs offCPU in Stop/Halt state; possible watchdog timerfault. Refer to the fault tables. If PME cannotconnect, cycle power with battery attached andrefer to fault tables.CPU OK Blinking in unison CPU is in boot mode and is waiting for a firmwareupdate through a serial port.RUNOUTS ENARUN On Green CPU is in RUN Mode.Off CPU is in STOP Mode.OUTS ENA On Green Output scan is enabled.Off Output scan is disabled.I/O FORCE On Yellow Override is active on a bit reference(Not used by CRE030 or CRE040.)BATTERY On Red Battery has failed or is not attached.SYS FLT On Red CPU is in Stop/Faulted mode because a fatal faulthas occurred.C1 (COM1) Blinking Green Signals activity on corresponding serial port.C2 (COM2)Figure 29:CPE040 FrontView
