8: Fine Adjustment of AF’s Point of Focus3785 Make the adjustment.Press the <U> key to make theadjustment. The adjustable range is±20 steps.Setting it toward “-: ” will shift thepoint of focus in front of the standardpoint of focus.Setting it toward “+: ” will shift thepoint of focus to the rear of thestandard point of focus.After making the adjustment, press<0>.Select [1: All by same amount], thenpress <0>.Press the <M> button to exit.6 Check the result of theadjustment.Take a picture and play back theimage (p.290) to check theadjustment result.When the resulting picture is focusedin front of the targeted point, adjusttoward the “+: ” side. When theresulting picture is focused behind thetargeted point, adjust toward the“-: ” side.If necessary, do the adjustmentagain.If [1: All by same amount] is selected, AF adjustment will not be possiblefor the wide-angle and telephoto ends of zoom lenses.
