35If you turn on the power switch and the date/time/zone settingscreen appears, see page 37 to set the date/time/zone.<1> : The camera turns on.<2> : The camera is turned off anddoes not operate. Set to thisposition when not using thecamera.Whenever you set the power switchto <1> or <2>, sensorcleaning will be executedautomatically. (A small sound may beheard.) During the sensor cleaning,the LCD monitor will display <f>.You can still shoot during sensorcleaning by pressing the shutterbutton halfway (p.45) to stop thesensor cleaning and take a picture.If you repeatedly turn the power switch <1>/<2> at a shortinterval, the <f> icon may not be displayed. This is normal andnot a malfunction.To save battery power, the camera turns off automatically after 1minute of non-operation.
