OptionsIf no further options are specified, the archive should represent a full backup and this shouldbe restored in full. The status of all files is therefore the same after the "restore" as it was atthe time of the backup.● The -full option additionally forces the partition and the file system to be recreated on theCompactFlash Card. This is, however, possible only from a service system. -full isnecessary if the partition table and/or file system is missing or damaged.● However, if you want to restore the backup files without losing any files that have beencreated in the meantime, you can use the "-nodelete" option to prevent them from beingdeleted. "-nodelete" is not executed together with "-full", because all data is always deletedwhen the file system is recreated.● The -addon, -oem, -user, -addon+ and -oem+ options also allow only parts of an archiveto be unpacked.● The -update option is used to load software updates supplied by Siemens. The -updateoption can also be useful with -restart. If user-defined system files are changed whenloading the archive to the control, a cold restart or reinitialization is necessary. In suchcases, "sc restore" outputs an appropriate message at the end of the operation. The -restartoption causes the required action to be performed automatically.2.5.15 SaveDescriptionSyntax: sc save [-full|-addon|-addon+|-oem|-oem+|-user] [-force] [-update] FILENAMEAlternative names: backupAuthorization level: userThe "save" or "backup" action creates a backup of the CompactFlash Card in FILENAME,which specifies the archive path and also the file name. If the action is used from a servicesystem, the backup receives the files of the associated control – and not the service system.Example:sc save -user /tmp/drv01/backup.tgzOptionsThe following options are used for selecting which directories of the file system are to be writtento the archive:-full: complete backup (default): all files of the control, incl. Boot Loader-addon: only /addon directory-oem: only /oem directory-user: only /user directory (user data)Configuring the system2.5 Description of the actionsNCU operating system54 Commissioning Manual, 12/2017, 6FC5397-1DP40-6BA1
