1.20 Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Service FeaturesFeature Guide 2211.20.1.6 Call Hold (HOLD)—by ISDNDescriptionAn ISDN call can be put on hold using the ISDN service of the telephone company, instead of the PBXfeature. This can be a part of a Call Transfer (CT)—by ISDN (→ 1.20.1.7 Call Transfer (CT)—by ISDN) andThree-party Conference (3PTY)—by ISDN (→ 1.20.1.8 Three-party Conference (3PTY)—by ISDN). Thisfeature allows an ISDN call to be held, and a call to be made to another outside party using only onecommunication channel of ISDN. A PT user can easily use this feature by pressing the ISDN Hold button.Conditions• This feature complies with the following European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) specification:– ETS 300 141 Call Hold (HOLD) supplementary service.• ISDN Hold ButtonA flexible button can be customised as the ISDN Hold button.• The availability of this feature is dependent on the contract with the telephone company.• The TRS/Barring feature is applied when making a call after activating this feature. (→ 1.8.1 TollRestriction (TRS)/Call Barring (Barring))• ARS cannot be applied to the call dialled after activating this feature.
