26Moving back to a previousskip location to start playbackPress the [ ] button.Playback starts from the previous skiplocation.If the current location is 5 secondsor less away from a skip location,playback starts from the skip locationbefore the previous skip location.However, if the current location is 5seconds or less away from the first skiplocation in the file, playback starts from askip location in the previous file.If there is no previous file, playback startsfrom the current location without skipping.Moving to the next skiplocation to start playbackPress the [ ] button.Playback starts from the next skip location.If the current location comes after the lastskip location in the file, playback startsfrom a skip location in the next file. Ifthere is no next file, playback starts fromthe current location without skipping.Notes:• The skip location may be a bookmark,head of file or a trigger position (oneper file) at which recording began.However, no trigger position can existin automatically divided files.• One of the following icons mayappear On-Screen for about2 seconds depending on thelocation playback skips. When notshown in an On-Screen Display,they appear on the LCD panel.: Bookmark position: Trigger position: File beginningWhen these icons coincide, theyare indicated in the following orderof priority: bookmark position,trigger position and file beginning.• It is recommended that the skiplocation be placed at the [Trigger/Marker] or [Head of File] in theadministration setup. (see page 34.)• Up to 999 bookmarks can be skipped.You cannot skip to the bookmarkposition exceeding this limit.• When the [ ] button or [ ]button is pressed, playback stopsmomentarily while the skip locationis searched for, and then playbackresumes from that position.Adding bookmarksAdding bookmarksBookmarks can be added duringplayback, pause or slow playback.Press the [BOOK MARK] button.• A bookmark icon appears.• Playback or slow playback stops for ashort while and then resumes.Notes:• The bookmark icon appears on theOn-Screen Display. When the On-Screen Display is not displayed, itappears on the LCD panel.• Bookmarks can be added with aminimum interval of 2 seconds.• Playing back a segment with abookmark shows a bookmark iconfor about 2 seconds during playback.Deleting bookmarksPress the [BOOK MARK] buttonwhen a bookmark icon appearsduring playback, pause or slowplayback.• This deletes the bookmark icon .• Playback or slow playback stops for ashort while and then resumes.Note:Bookmarks cannot be added ordeleted during rewind and fastforward.Playback (continued)
