16Setting up/Deleting Officer Data• Once the officer data has beenread, the USB memory devicemay be removed.• Once the officer data has beenset up, it is not deleted even whenpower is turned off or the modechanged.MANUAL modeDisplay the menu on the LCD panel.Then read and load the officer datafrom the Officer setup top screen.1. Press the [MENU] button.The Menu appears.2. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Setup/Info] and press [ ] toconfirm the entry.3. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Officer] and press [ ] toconfirm the entry.The Officer setup top screen appears.4. Connect a USB memory devicecontaining officer data to aMemory Card Video Recorder.5. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Officer1].6. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Load] and press [ ] to confirmthe entry.This registers officer1 and the nameand ID appear.7. To enter officer2, replace thecurrent USB memory devicewith a USB memory devicecontaining data for officer2.8. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Officer2].9. Use the [ , ] buttons to select[Load] and press [ ] to confirmthe entry.This registers officer2 and the nameand ID appear.Before using the Memory Card VideoRecorder, you must create and configureofficer data, such as an officer ID andofficer name. For details on creating officerdata, refer to the Operating Instructions ofthe Memory Card Video Recorder.Three setup methods are available, calledthe AUTO, MANUAL and LIST modes.Check with the administrator whichmode is selected. (see page 38.)AUTO modeWhen a USB memory device is connectedto the Memory Card Video Recorder, orwhen connection is detected after turningpower on, the officer data for one ortwo officers is automatically read in andactivated (see the Operating Instructionsof the Memory Card Video Recorder).Connect a USB memory devicecontaining officer data to aMemory Card Video Recorder.The [READY] lamp flashes forone second:This indicates that the data wascorrectly read.The [BUSY] lamp flashes for onesecond:This indicates that the data couldnot be correctly read.Disconnect the USB memorydevice and then reconnect it. Ifthe [READY] lamp does not flashwhen the USB memory deviceis connected again, check if theofficer data file has been correctlysaved to the USB memory device.If the above measures do notcorrect this problem, replace theUSB memory device.Notes:• If a USB memory device is connectedand the officer data is read duringrecording, the file will be split upat the location where reading waseffectuated.
