19Viewing Live VideoUse the functions described below tomanipulate video output by the cameraand sound from the microphone.Press the [LIVE/ARCHIVE] button toview live video. A commercially availablecamera connected to the [CAMERA2]connector cannot be controlled.Selecting a cameraPress the [CAMERA SELECT] button.Each press of the button toggles theunit between the “CAMERA1” and“CAMERA2” inputs.CAMERA1 : Color Camera connected tothe [CAMERA1] connectorCAMERA2 : Commercially availablecamera connected to the[CAMERA2] connectorNote:Selecting “CAMERA2” disables thefollowing “CAMERA1” operations.• Adjusting image brightness• Adjusting image focusZoomingTo view the overall scene, press the[W] button and zoom out.To view fine details, press the [T]button and zoom in.1. Press the [W] button or the [T]button.The camera zooms in or out whilethe button is kept depressed.2. Release the button when reachingthe desired image size.Pressing [AUTO ZOOM] zooms inthe image to the target ratio andthen pauses before zooming outtowards the wide angle end. Whenthe zoom in operation goes beyondthe target ratio, it first zooms out tothe target ratio.Making a backlit image easier to viewA dark subject against a brightbackground can be made easier to view.Press the [ ] buttonThis button toggles between “ON” and“OFF” at each press.Set this button to “OFF” for normaloperation.Making a dark image easier to viewUse the infrared mode to make darkimages easier to view.Press the [IR MODE] button.The IR ON appears.Each press of this button switches thefunction from “AUTO”, “ON” and “OFF”.Set this function to “AUTO” for normaloperation.Note:This function can be used togetherwith “Adjusting image brightness” tomake an image brighter.To mute AUDIO2 input soundPress the [AUDIO2 MUTE] button.Each press of this button toggles thebutton between record and mute.Note:It is not possible to switch AUDIO1sound recording in this manner.Turning off the LCD panelPress the [CONTROL PANEL ON/OFF] button.This turns off the LCD panel and lampsand disables all button functions.Pressing this button a second timeturns on the LCD panel and lampsand button operations again becomeavailable.
