317 Turning off the ProjectorTo turn off the projector:3. Projecting an Image (Basic Operation)1. Press the POWER (ON/STAND BY) button on the projector cabi-net or the POWER OFF button on the remote control.The [POWER OFF / ARE YOU SURE? / CARBON SAVINGS- SES-SION 0.000[g-CO2]] message will appear.2. Press the ENTER button or press the POWER(ON/STAND BY) orthe POWER OFF button again.The lamp will turn off and the projector will go into standby mode.When in standby mode, the POWER indicator will light orange andthe STATUS indicator will light green when [NORMAL] is selected for[STANDBY MODE]. Immediately after turning on the projector anddisplaying an image, you cannot turn off the projector for 60 sec-onds.3. Turn off the Main Power Switch.The power indicator will go out.About Direct Power OffThe projector has a feature called “Direct Power Off”. This featureallows the projector to be turned off (even when projecting an im-age) using the Main Power Switch or disconnecting the AC powersupply.NOTE: Before using Direct Power Off, be sure to allow at least 20 minutesimmediately after turning on the projector and starting to display an image.CAUTION• Do not unplug the power cable from the wall outlet or projectorwhen the projector is powered on. Doing so can cause damageto the AC IN connector of the projector and (or) the prong plug ofthe power cable. To turn off the AC power supply when the projec-tor is powered on, use the Main Power Switch.• Do not turn off the AC power supply within 10 seconds of makingadjustment or setting changes and closing the menu.Doing so can cause loss of adjustments and settings and returnto default.8 After UsePreparation: Make sure that the main power is turned off.1.
