Introduction Introduction to the ProjectorThis section introduces you to the NP3200/NP2200/NP1200 projector and describes key features and controls.Congratulations on Your Purchase of the ProjectorThe NP3200/NP2200/NP1200 is a sophisticated XGA projector that produces an enhanced display. With theNP3200/NP2200/NP1200 you will be able to project images up to 500" (measured diagonally). Enjoy crisp andsharp large screen display from your PC or Macintosh computer, DVD player, VCR, satellite hookup, HDTV source.The NP3200/NP2200/NP1200 provides for enhanced security options to help deter projector theft and provides forprojector control through the PC control port (D-Sub 9 Pin) and LAN support. With input and output flexibility, longlamp life and a full function remote, the NP3200/NP2200/NP1200 lets you enjoy larger than life viewing from a com-pact and easy to setup and use projector.Features you’ll enjoy :• LCD projector with high resolution and high brightnessHigh resolution display - up to UXGA compatible, XGA native resolution.• Extensive optional lensOne standard lens and five types of optional lenses are available• Lens shift mechanism offers installation flexibilityManual lens shift that can be adjusted by turning dials on the top of the projector• Quick start & Quick Power OffFive seconds* after turning on the power, the projector is ready to display PC or video images.* The quick start time is only when [STANDBY MODE] is set to [NORMAL] in the on-screen message. The pro-jector can be put away immediately after the projector is powered down.• Direct Power OffThe projector has a feature called “Direct Power Off”. This feature allows the projector to be turned off (evenwhen projecting an image) by using the Main Power Switch or disconnecting the AC power supply.To turn off the AC power supply when the projector is powered on, use a power strip equipped with a switch anda breaker.NOTE: Before using Direct Power Off, be sure to allow at least 20 minutes immediately after turning on the projector andstarting to display an image.• Auto Power On, and Auto Power Off functionsThe AUTO POWER ON(AC), AUTO POWER ON(COMP1/2), AUTO POWER OFF, and OFF TIMER featureseliminate the need to always use the POWER button on the remote control or projector cabinet.• Less than 1W in standby condition with energy saving technologySelecting [POWER-SAVING] for [STANDBY MODE] from the menu can put the projector in power-saving modethat consumes only 0.4W (100-130V AC)/0.5W (200-240V AC).• Carbon MeterThis feature will show energy-saving effect in terms of CO2 emission reduction (kg) when the projector’s [ECOMODE] is set to [ON].The amount of CO2 emission reduction will be displayed in the confirmation message at the time of power-offand in the INFO of the on-screen menu.• Integrated RJ-45 connector for wired networking capabilityAn RJ-45 connector is equipped as standard feature.• The projector can be controlled from a computer over a LANConnecting the projector to a network allows the Alert Mail setting and the projector control from a computer viathe network.To do so, you must have an exclusive application “PC Control Utility Pro4” installed on your computer from thesupplied NEC Projector CD-ROM.Downloaded From projector-manual.com NEC Manuals
