Formore information, see “Backing up files” in Using Your Computerwhich has been included on your hard drive. To access this guide,click Start, All Programs, then click Gateway Documentation.2 Follow the guidelines under “Preventing static electricity discharge”on page 72.3 Turn off your notebook.4 Disconnect the AC adapter, modem cable, and network cable.5 Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove any PC cards.6 Disconnect your notebook from the optional port replicator (see“Disconnecting from the port replicator” on page 86).7 Turn your notebook over so the bottom is facing up.Harddrive
