Neverpick up a fl aming pan. Turn the controls off.Smother a fl aming pan on a cooktop burnerby covering the pan completely with a wellfi tting lid or baking tray. If available use amultipurpose dry chemical or foam-type fireextinguisher.If fire is in the oven or broiler pan, smother byclosing oven door. Open doors and windowsor if a hood is fitted turn it on to removesmoke and odor.To Prevent Fire or Smoke DamageBefore using the range make sure all thepacking materials have been removed.Always keep the area around the range freefrom combustible materials, gasoline, andother fl ammable vapors and liquids.If the range is installed near a window, properprecautions should be taken to preventcurtains from blowing over the burners.NEVER leave any items on the rangecooktop.
