Turn on thebroiler control and check that the broiler heatsup.Oven LightPress the oven light switches and check that thelights are working.Note. The oven light bulbs are not included inthe guaranteeCheck Ignition of Cooktop BurnersOperation of all cooktop burners should bechecked after the range and gas supply lineshave been carefully checked for leaks.Check each burner in turn. There is a flamesafety device that stops the flow of gas to theburner if the flame goes out. There is also aspark ignition system that works when the knobis pressed in.For each burner, push in and turn a knob to the () lighting position.The igniter should spark and light the gas.Keep holding the knob pressed in to let the gasthrough to the burner for few seconds.If, when you let go of the control knob, theburner goes out, the safety device has not heldin. Turn the control to the off position and waitone minute, then try again this time holding inthe control knob for slightly longer.Quality of FlamesOn Natural Gas the burners flames should bea blueish color with, at most, a slight yellowishfringe.On Propane gas the flames may be “softer”.The cooktop burner flames may have a slightyellowish tip.If the flame burns with a long white tip youshould call for service.Normal flame appearance Burner not fitted correctlyMAKE SURE THE FLOW OF COMBUSTIONAND VENTILATION AIR TO THE RANGE ISUNOBSTRUCTED.MAKE SURE ALL CONTROLS ARE LEFT INTHE OFF POSITION.Customer carePlease complete your details in the inside coverof this Guide.
