REMOVE HOUSE FUSEOR OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFOREBEGINNING INSTALLATION.This appliance must be supplied with the propervoltage and frequency, and connected to anindividual, properly grounded branch circuit,protected by a circuit breaker or time-delay fuse,as noted on the rating plate.Wiring must conform to National Electric Codes.If the electric service provided does not meet theabove specifications, have a licensed electricianinstall an approved outlet.Because range terminals are not accessibleafter range is in position, flexible service conduitor cord must be used.Provide Proper Electrical SupplyThis range must be supplied with 240 volt, 60Hz., and connected to an individual, properlygrounded branch circuit protected by a circuitbreaker or time-delay fuse (40 amp). If theelectrical service provided does not meet theabove specifications, it is recommended that alicensed electrician install an approved outlet.From January 1, 1996, the National ElectricCode requires that new construction (notexisting) utilize a 4-conductor connection to anelectric range.Connecting using the suppliedcord and plugYour range is shipped with a 4-prong plug to beused in a NEMA 14-50R receptacle.Recommended Electrical Outlet LocationsWhen connecting using a NEMA 14-50Rreceptacle, if possible position it so that it canbe accessed through the opening at the rear ofthe drawer cavity. The range can then be easilydisconnected for servicing etc.Plug the range power cord into a properlygrounded wall receptacle.Connecting if the supplied cordand plug is not suitable.To remove the electrical connection cover firstremove the screws on the top and bottom edges.The cover has two side and one bottom locationtags.
