This range becomes hotin use, the cooktop burners produce exhaustgases. Take safety precautions - see the safetywarnings in the User Guide, which should beread together with this installation guide.The range must be electrically grounded inaccordance with local codes or, in the absenceof local codes, in accordance with the NationalElectrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70, latest edition).In Canada, electrical grounding must bein accordance with the current CSA C22.1Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and/or localcodes. Pipe wrenchesMaterialsAdditional materials you may need:• Gas line shut-off valve• Pipe joint sealant or UL-approved pipe threadtape with Tefl on* that resists action of naturaland LP gases. *Tefl on: Registered trademarkof DuPont• Flexible metal appliance connector (1/2’’ I.D.).A 5-foot length is recommended for ease ofinstallation but other lengths are acceptable.Never use an old connector when installing anew range.• Flare union adapter for connection to gassupply line (3/4’’ or 1/2’’ NPT x 1/2’’ I.D.)• Flare union adapter for connection to pressureregulator on range (1/2’’ NPT x 1/2’’ I.D.)• To protect any fl oor covering under the rangea sheet of 1/4’’ thick ply wood or equivalentlarge enough to stand the range on
