13Using your RangeThe ClockSetting the time of daySetting knob Adjusting knobWhen the clock is first connected the display willfl ash ( ) and ( ) alternately.To set the clock to readthe time of day turn andhold the Setting knob tothe clock symbol ( )and at the same timeturn the Adjusting knobleft or right until theclock shows the time ofday. .Let go of the Setting knob and it will spring backto the vertical ( ) oven manual setting.If the key symbol ( ) appears on the left of thedisplay you have accidentally turned on thekey lock feature. See the section ‘Clock SpecialFeatures’.To time something that’s cooking(minute minder)Turn the Setting knobto the right to the ( )minute minder setting- it should click intoposition.Use the adjustmentknob to set the timeyou need.You can turn the knobback to the ( ) manualsetting to keep an eyeon the time of dayor leave it in the ( )minute minder positionas the time ticks down.To stop the beeper when it soundsTurn the Adjusting knob counter clockwiseTo stop automaticallyUse when you have started the oven manually.Turn the Setting knob tothe ( ) position.Use the adjustmentknob to set the time youneed.‘Stop Time’ shows.AUTO will show in thedisplay.Turn the Setting knob to the (AUTO ) setting.When your cooking is finished the beepersounds. Turn the Setting knob to the vertical ( )to return to manual cooking.To start and stop the ovenautomatically (delayed baking)Before you set the clock, you must have twonumbers clearly in mind.The ‘cook time’, which is the period of time youwant the oven to cook. The maximum cookingtime is 11 hours 59 minutes.The ‘stop time’, which is the time of day youwant the oven to stop cooking. This must be lessthan 12 hours from the current time.You cannot set a start time directly - this is setautomatically by setting the cooking period andstop time.Turn the Setting knob tothe ( ) position.Use the Adjusting knobto set the ‘cooking time’you need.
