USING HFDL COMMANDSParameters HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL specifies the text orientation of thetext within the box. Do not confuse TEXT alignment with TEXTplacement in the box. You can align horizontal text LEFT orRIGHT. You can align vertical text TOP or BOTTOM.SPACED defines the amount of vertical space (inn units) youwant a line of text to occupy. If you specify a value (not 0), itreplaces the line spacing value of the font being used for thisTEXT AT command. All specifications except LPI are actual lineheight measurements. An LPI value specifies line height in linesper inch. Then units value you specify must be positive. Theunits are INCHES, CENTIMETERS, DOTS, and XDOTS. You canuse two decimal places when you specify inches and centimeters. You can express DOTS and XDOTS only in integers. POINTSspecifies that you want the TEXT SPACED inn POINTS (1/72inch).ALIGNED specifies that you want the text aligned LEFT, RIGHT,CENTER, TOP, BOTTOM, JUSTIFIED. See theXerox LaserPrinting Systems Forms Creation Guide for alignment examples. The ALIGNED and JUSTIFIED commands including IN COLUMN,are not recommended with the TEXT IN BOX command. Theseare more appropriate with the TEXT AT command. If you want touse JUSTIFIED IN COLUMN, refer to the “TEXT AT command”section for a description of how to use these parameters.FONTn specifies the index number of the font you selected.Refer to the “FONT command” section for additionalinformation.INKn specifies the index number of the ink color you selectedfrom the ink list to use with a Xerox highlight or full color LPSprinter. The specified INK is in effect for this command and notfor subsequent TEXT IN BOX commands.IN specifies the position in a box where you want to place thetext. There are nine positions as follows:aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaTOP LEFT TOP CENTER TOP RIGHTCENTER CENTERBOTTOM CENTERRIGHT CENTERBOTTOM RIGHTLEFT CENTERBOTTOM LEFTC y defines the coordinate of the box origin on the y axis.Cx defines the coordinate of the box origin on the x axis.’text’ specifies a text string that displays on the form exactly asyou enter it (except for special characters).DOT LEADER specifies dot leaders you have selected to placebetween text or to a column boundary. Dot leaders extend thefull width of the column you specify in the COLUMN command, unless interrupted by a’text’ string. You can place dot leadersbetween two text strings and a right boundary previously definedin the COLUMN command. If you place dot leaders betweentwo text strings, the right most text string aligns with the rightcolumn boundary.HOST FORMS DESCRIPTION LANGUAGE 3.2 FOR IBM MVS CREATING FORMS 3–23
