Although the messages will differbased on the software your computer is running, in each caseyou should allow the installation to proceed. Alternatively, youcan turn off the AntiVirus or AntiSpyware software beforeinstalling your scanner. But if you do, make sure to turn it backon again when installation is finished.• If you already have a scanner connected to your computer, it isrecommended that you remove that scanner’s driver programprior to installing your Xerox DocuMate 515 scanner. If youpreviously had a Xerox or Visioneer desktop scanner you shoulduninstall that scanner driver before proceeding. You can removethese programs from the Windows Add/Remove programs list.Please refer to the user manual provided with your otherscanner hardware for instructions about removing the driverand software for that unit.• If your computer is running Windows Vista, you may see theVista User Account Control screen asking you to confirm systemchanges. Click the Continue button to allow the installation toproceed.
