4.2.1 Configuring the Camera to Use Viewnetcam.comIf you are interested in accessing your camera over the Internet, we recommend using Viewnetcam.com.Viewnetcam.com is a Dynamic DNS service designed for use with Panasonic Network Cameras. For moreinformation about Viewnetcam.com, please visit http://www.viewnetcam.com for details.There are two methods you can use to configure the camera to use Viewnetcam.com.– Using the [Internet] tab (recommended)To use this method, see Page 105.– Using the [DynamicDNS] pageTo use this method, see Page 106.Note• If your router supports UPnP™ and you want to enable auto port forwarding as well as useViewnetcam.com, use the procedure described in Page 101.• If you have multiple cameras connected to the same network, only one of the cameras needs to beregistered with Viewnetcam.com. All cameras connected to the network can be accessed from theInternet using your Viewnetcam.com URL (for example, ***.viewnetcam.com) and adding thedesired camera’s port number after the URL. Example: http://***.viewnetcam.com:50000,http://***.viewnetcam.com:50001, etc. Note, however, if the camera that is registered toViewnetcam.com is turned off and your ISP-provided global IP address changes, you will not be ableto access any of the cameras.• To disable Viewnetcam.com service for this camera later, access the Viewnetcam.com website(http://www.viewnetcam.com) and cancel your registration.• It may take up to 30 minutes before the camera can be accessed over the Internet.Configuring the camera to use Viewnetcam.com from the [Internet] tab1.
