Chapter 22-342.5 Document Reversing2.5.1 Basic Operation 0006-2269The machine turns over an original in either of 2 ways: turning it over from 1st side to 2ndside or turning it over from 2nd side to 1st side. The mechanisms involved are identical, andthe discussions that follow are based on turning 1st side to 2nd side.a. Pickup for the 1st SideThe machine uses the drive of the feed motor (M1) to rotate the read roller and the platenroller for reading the 1st side. At the end of reading, the machine turns on the lockingsolenoid (SL1) in response to the image leading edge signal OFF so that the deliveryreversing roller enters a lock state to discharge the original to the delivery slot.F-2-27b. Reversal/Feed 1Whet the trailing edge of the original moves past the delivery reversal sensor (PI4), themachine stops the feed motor (M1). Immediately thereafter, the machine starts to rotate thefeed motor in reverse to move the original as far as the registration roller; it then turns offthe locking solenoid (SL1) to release the delivery reversing roller.DeliveM1SL1Read rollerPlaten rollerM1SL1
