ORPUERTO RICO, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION,CANADAAND MEXICO, AND USED IN THE U.S.A., ARENOT COVERED BY THESE WARRANTIES.Limited One (1) Year Warranty on Parts and LaborTAIS WARRANTS THIS LCD TV/DVD COMBINATIONAND ITS PARTS AGAINST DEFECTS IN MATERIALSOR WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEARFROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE.DURING THIS PERIOD, TAIS WILL, AT TAIS' SOLEDESCRETION, REPAIR OR REPLACE A DEFECTIVEPART/PRODUCT WITH A NEW OR REFURBISHED PART/PRODUCT WITHOUT CHARGE TO YOU FOR PARTS ORLABOR. ANY PART OR PRODUCT REPLACED UNDERTHIS LIMITED WARRANTY BECOMES THE PROPERTYOF TAIS. IN SOME CASES, YOU MAY BE RESPONSIBLEFOR DELIVERING THE PRODUCT TO A SERVICECENTER.Rental UnitsThe limited warranty period begins on the date of the first rentalor thirty (30) days after the date of shipment to the rental firm,whichever comes first.Your ResponsibilityRead the owner's manual thoroughly before installing oroperating this LCD TV/DVD Combination. Complete and mailthe enclosed product registration card (if provided) or registeryour LCD TV/DVD Combination online at support.toshiba.com.Registration of your LCD TV/DVD Combination will enableTAIS to contact you in the unlikely event a safety notification isrequired under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act. Failureto complete and return the product registration card does notdiminish your warranty rights.THE ABOVE WARRANTIES ARE SUBJECT TO THEFOLLOWING CONDITIONS:(1) This Limited Warranty is extended only to the originalpurchaser and only covers product purchased as new.(2) A purchase receipt or other proof of the originalpurchase date is required for warranty service.(3) All warranty servicing of this LCD TV/DVD Combinationmust be performed by an Authorized TAIS ServiceProvider.(4) The warranties from TAIS are effective only if this LCDTV/DVD Combination is purchased and operated in theU.S.A. or Puerto Rico.(5) Removal and reinstallation of product that is mountedin such a manner as to impede normal service isnot covered under these warranties. This includeswalt mounts, custom cabinets and other installationmethods that do not provide for direct and immediateaccess to the product for service purposes. Laborservice charges for set installation, setup, adjustment ofcustomer controls, and installation or repair of antenna,satellite or cable systems are not covered by this limitedwarranty.78(6) Reception or other problems caused by inadequateantenna systems, misatigned satellite dishes, improperlyinstalled cable drops or use with non-standard signalsor sources are your responsibility and are not coveredby this limited warranty.(7) This limited warranty is void if the product is usedoutside the range of the temperature (heattcotd) and/or moisture operating conditions as outlined in theproduct's specification listed in the Owner's manual,or if the product is exposed to excessive smoke, dust,or other airborne contaminants or environmentalconditions.(8) Warranties extend only to defects in materials orworkmanship as limited above, and do not extend toany LCD TV/DVD Combination or parts that have beenlost or discarded by you or to damage to the LCD TV/DVD Combination or parts caused by fires, misuse,abuse, accident, Acts of God (such as lightning orfluctuations in electric power), improper installation,improper maintenance, or use in violation of instructionsfurnished by TAIS; use or malfunction throughsimultaneous use of this LCD TV/DVD Combinationand connected equipment; or to units that have beenmodified or had the serial number removed, altered,defaced, or rendered illegible.(9) Product purchased "AS-IS" or"With known faults,defects or problems" are not covered by this limitedwarranty.(10) Product previously owned or registered by a consumerand resold is not covered by this limited warranty.(11) Product that is refurbished and resold is not coveredunder this limited warranty.How to Obtain Warranty ServiceAfter following all of the operating instructions in the Owner'smanual, review the section entitled "Concierge" located on ourCustomer Support Web site at support.toshiba.com, tf you findthat service is needed, follow the instructions provided on theweb site or please contact TAIS' Consumer Solution Center tollfree at 1-800-631-3811. You must present upon request youroriginal bilt of sale or other proof of purchase including the serialnumber for in warranty service.ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY THE LAW OF ANY STATEOF THE U.S.A., INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIESOF MERCHANTABILITYAND FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITEDTO THE DURATION OF THE LIMITED WARRANTIESSET FORTH ABOVE. WITH THE EXCEPTION OFANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY THE LAW OF ANYSTATE OF THE U.S.A. The time withinwhich an action must be commenced to enforce anyobligation of TAIS arising under this limited warranty orunder any statute, or taw of the United States or any statethereof, is hereby limited to ninety (90) days from the dateyou discover or should have discovered, the defect.
