Printing_ 143Graphics tabUse the Graphic tab options to adjust the print quality for your specificprinting needs.Click the Graphic tab to display the options shown below.Color ModeYou can choose color options. Setting to Color typically produces thebest possible print quality for color documents. If you want to print acolor document in grayscale, select Grayscale.To adjust color manually, click Advanced. Simply slide the colorbalance slider in the Levels tab to adjust color, or click the Matching tabfor driver provided color correction for general image processing.• If you click Reset, settings in the Levels or Matching return tothe default setting.• You can change the image which is in the Advanced option.Click the Import Image button and select a image you want.• Levels: You can adjust the appearance of images by changing thesettings in the Adjustment Levels option.• Matching: You can adjust the appearance of images by changingthe settings in the Balance option. Screen option allows you toselect options to convert a continous-tone image into printable binaryimage.QualityThe higher the setting, the sharper the clarity of printed characters andgraphics. The higher setting may also increase the printing time of adocument. When you check Glossy printing, the machine allows you toprint with the effect of gloss finish.Font/TextCheck All Text Black to print in solid black, regardless of the color itappears on the screen.Advanced• Automatic: Automatically selects an option for best format. Thisoption is available only when you use the PS printer driver.• Download as Outline: This option allows the driver to downloadany TrueType fonts that are used in your document not stored(resident) on your machine. If, after printing a document, you findthat the fonts did not print correctly, choose Download as Bit imageand resubmit your print job.• Download as Bit Image: This option allows the driver to downloadthe font data as bitmap images. Documents with complicated fonts,such as Korean or Chinese, or various other fonts, will print faster inthis setting. Download as bit image is useful when printing fromAdobe programs.• Print as Graphics: This option allows the driver to download anyfonts as graphics. When printing documents with high graphiccontent and relatively few TrueType fonts, printing performance(speed) may be enhanced in this setting. This option is available onlywhen you use the PCL printer driver.• Native TrueType: If your machine is a TrueType rasterizermachine, select this option to download the TrueType font as anoutline font. This option is available only when you use the PS printerdriver.• Use Printer Fonts: When Use Printer Fonts is checked, the printeruses the fonts that are stored in its memory (resident fonts) to printyour document, rather than downloading the fonts used in yourdocument. Because downloading fonts takes time, selecting thisoption can speed up your printing time. When using Use PrinterFonts, the printer will try to match the fonts used in your document tothose stored in its memory. If, however, you use fonts in yourdocument that are very different from those resident in the printer,your printed output will appear very different from what it looks likeon the screen.If you click Reset, settings in the Advanced option returns to thedefault setting.
