ZX Fire Alarm Control Panels MORLEY-IASCommissioning Manual Document No. 996-175-000-1, Revision 01 Page 134 Commissioning a New Installation• This section provides a guide to the steps that are required to commission a new installation.• Precise details on how to perform each step, and on the functionality of each programming option, aregiven in appropriate sections of this manual.4.1 Step 1 – General Setup• Ensure that the panel configuration memory is cleared and returned to factory settings. Refer to Time /Date – System on Page 2 of the Commissioning Menus.• Select the ‘Setup options’ from Page 3 of the Commissioning Menus. Press ‘Yes’ to step through eachitem to inspect the factory default settings and to make changes as required. For example, to enterservice telephone number and company name.4.2 Step 2 – Configure Each Signalling Loop• Select the CONFIGURE option from Page 1 of the Commission Menus and then perform thefollowing.1. Select ‘Signalling Loop 1’.2. Perform an ‘Auto Learn’3. Select ‘Devices’ and change sensor location text as required.4. Assign Zones.• Repeat actions 1-4 above for each signalling loop connected to the panel.• Enter Zone descriptions.NOTE:1. If using a PC to program the panel, actions 3 and 4 above will already have been defined on the PC.2. When using ZX panel software version 826, or later, and the Apolloprotocol with ancillary sounders fitted, refer to Section 5.2.4.9.3. When using ZX panel software version 834, or later, and Morley-IAS orSystem Sensor protocol with ancillary LEDs fitted, refer to Section5.2.4.10.4.3 Step 3 – Configure Peripherals (if required)• Select the CONFIGURE option from page 1 of the Commission Menus and then perform the following.1. Select ‘Peripheral’.2. Perform an ‘Auto Learn’.3. Select ‘Devices’ and change each unit’s location text as required.4. Assign Zones and set the operation of the unit.4.4 Step 4 – Configure Outputs (sounders and relays)• Select the CONFIGURE option from page 1 of the Commission Menus and then perform the following.1. Select ‘Sounders’, if zoned ringing patterns are required and program accordingly.2.
