MORLEY-IAS ZX Fire Alarm Control PanelsPage 18 Document No. 996-175-000-1, Revision 01 Commissioning Manual• Each zone can have a description assigned to it to identify the area covered by the zone. Thisdescription will appear on the liquid crystal display if any sensor in the zone detects a fault or fire.[ Panel in Commissioning mode ]---------------------------------------------Zone 001 is named "SOUTH ANNEXE "• The description can be amended by highlighting the location text (using the ‘>‘ and ‘<‘ keys), pressing‘Change’ and entering either, letters, numbers or keywords. This procedure is identical to that used forediting the sensor location text described in Section 5.2.4.2 below.5.2.4 Devices• The ‘Devices’ option from the display gives information on the various types of device fitted on a loop.• Press 2 to select the ‘Devices’ option. The system will ask which address you want to start at:[ Panel in Commissioning mode ]---------------------------------------------Begin inspection at address number 1 ?• If you would like to start at a different address, then press the ‘Change’ key and enter your requiredaddress, otherwise say ‘Yes’ to continue.• The display then gives detailed information about the Device at the chosen address.[ Panel in Commissioning mode ]--------------------------------------------L1 Z003 A086 "RESEARCH ROOM 52 "Ev106Ion Smoke Signal= 26 (Inputs 2..0=LLH)• For Apollo protocol loops with Ancillary Sounders attached to applicable sensors, the display thengives detailed information about the device at the chosen address with anindicator ‘+’ at the end of the text description of the device (to which theancillary sounder is attached). Applicable sensors to which Apollo ancillarysounders can be connected include ionisation, temperature detectors, etc.• For Morley-IAS and System Sensor protocol loops with ancillary LEDs attached to applicable modules: thedisplay gives information about the device at the chosen address with an indicator ‘+’ at the end of the textdescription of the device (to which the ancillary LED is attached). These ancillary LEDs are, in fact,configured as if they were relays, meaning that they perform in the same way arelay does. These outputs, therefore, cannot be pulsed. The ZX Series of firecontrol panels can turn on four device LEDs in alarm.
