Connected directly to terminals on the base card.2. Connected to addressable sounder modules on any of thesignalling loops.3. Connected to addressable 4-way sounder cards on the RS485peripheral loop.5.4.2 Allocating Sounders• All sounder outputs, on-board, loop-driven and peripheral bus units are programmed in the same way.• The only functional difference between the three types of device is that some loop-driven units(depending on type and manufacturer) cannot be synchronized. Therefore, it is recommended thatany single installations that require multiple, pulsed sounder circuits should only use the on-board andthe peripheral bus outputs.• Press ‘7’ to select the sounders option from the configure menu. The display will show which ringingpattern numbers are assigned to which sounders.• Each ringing pattern maps the sounders operation relative to zones in alarm.Immediately after a ‘wipe system’, followed by ‘auto learn’ of both loop driven andperipheral bus devices, the system defaults to:All ringing patterns are set to ON for all zones.Base card sounder A set to pattern number 3Base card sounder B set to pattern number 4Base card sounder C set to pattern number 5 (ZX5Se & ZX10Se only)Base card sounder D set to pattern number 6 (ZX5Se & ZX10Se only)All other loop and peripheral sounders set to pattern number 1• On selecting the sounder option, the display will show the setting for the base card, sounder A, asfollows:[ Panel in Commissioning mode ]---------------------------------------------SOUNDER PatternA 003• A flashing cursor over the number field on the display indicates that a new pattern number can beentered from the keyboard.• To inspect or change the zoned ringing rules associated with the pattern number, press the ‘Enter’key. The display will then show:[ Panel in Commissioning mode ]---------------------------------------------Pattern zone MODE3 001 to 080 ON
