MORLEY-IAS ZX Fire Alarm Control PanelsPage 58 Document No. 996-175-000-1, Revision 01 Commissioning Manual16.5 Hochiki Multi-Sensor Support• The Hochiki Multi-Sensor is supported as detailed below from panel software version 824 onwards.Previously, from version 698, the multi-sensor was partially supported – operating as an optical smokedevice becoming more sensitive with temperatures above 40 °C.• Where the control panel is in normal operation or sensitivity day mode is invoked, the multi-sensormode and threshold parameters can be modified according to the specific site requirements. Thisallows a different mode of operation at different times of the day (see Section 11.3 Sensitivity Mode). For each multi-sensor address, in the edit device menu, choose to ‘edit thresholds’. Firstly, the modeof operation will be presented. Select 0 for multi-mode, 1 for optical-smoke only mode or 2 for heatonly mode. Normal threshold set-up will follow. These settings will take effect on a device by devicebasis throughout the day mode period (where sensitivity mode is programmed).• Where night mode is invoked (as part of sensitivity day mode), the device operates in the multi-sensormode providing the control panel with an analogue value representing a combination of the smokeand heat elements of the sensor. The pre-alarm threshold is fixed at 45 and the full-alarm threshold at55.16.6 System Sensor/ Morley-IAS Multi-Sensor & Laser Support16.6.1 System Sensor/ M-IAS Multi & Laser Diagnostics• When viewing the device from the user menus, the meaning of the analogue value is as follows:Value displayed Multi laser0 No device No device1 Mid-range invalid Mid-range invalid2 Mid-range invalid Mid-range invalid3 Mid-range invalid Mid-range invalid4 Mid-range invalid Mid-range invalid4 or 7 Out of range Out of range5 Low chamber trouble Drift alert 0.3%10 Maintenance alert Maintenance alert15 Maintenance urgent Drift alert 0.6%20 initialising Initialising29 multi / 32 laser Normal Normal50 multi / 50 laser Level 1 alarm Level 1 alarm64 multi / 57 laser Level 2 alarm Level 2 alarm79 multi / 64 laser Level 3 alarm Level 3 alarm93 multi / 71 laser Level 4 alarm Level 4 alarm107 multi / 79 laser Level 5 alarm Level 5 alarm121 multi / 86 laser Level 6 alarm (HEAT) Level 6 alarm- / 93 laser - Level 7 alarm- / 100 laser - Level 8 alarm- / 107 laser - Level 9 alarmSystem Sensor Multi-sensor & Laser Diagnostics
