ZX Fire Alarm Control Panels MORLEY-IASCommissioning Manual Document No. 996-175-000-1, Revision 01 Page 4712 Setup Option• Setup options define the way in which the panel is configured, such as the number and type of loopdriver boards fitted. They should be checked when a panel is first installed, but will rarely need alteringafter this time.• The options are presented as a series of questions. Press ‘Yes’ if the setting is as required. Thefollowing table details the options:Option Description DefaultLanguage Determines the language displayed on the alphanumeric display.Options: Language options depend on the software version installed. If only one language available, this option is not displayed.EnglishQty of Loop Drivers Determines the number of loop driver boards installed in the panel.(ZX2Se = 1 to 2, ZX5Se/ZX10Se = 1 to 5). --Type of Loop Driver Determines the type of loop driver installed. Options: Morley-IAS,System Sensor, Apollo, Hochiki ESP, Nittan.NOTE: Isync compatible, loop driver boards self identify and do not needto be changed manually. The Isync software version installed in theboard is also displayed on the bottom line.--ApprovalsStandard 1Determines the standard to which the panel software complies. Options:EN54, BS, UL864. EN54Calibration /CheckTimeDetermines whether calibration should be performed on the detectors.Automatic checking of device calibration can be performed at the timespecified. A warning will be given if a device drifts outside its calibrationlimits or approaches the pre-alarm threshold. Setting a time of 0:00 willprevent this check from taking place. Choose a time of day when theenvironment can be expected to be in a normal (clean air) condition.0:00Device Interrupts 2 Device interrupts provide a way for call point devices to interrupt thenormal polling sequence and so give a fast response. It is possible toignore interrupts, if required, by changing this item to FALSE instead ofthe default TRUE setting. This option should normally be set to TRUE unless faultfinding on asystem during the early commissioning phase. For Apollo, Hochiki and Nittan, this option should be set to TRUE.For Morley IAS and System Sensor (SSD) devices, this optionshould be set to FALSE.TRUEAC Fail Timer 3 As soon as the ac power is lost, the panel will flash the green powersupply indicator on the front panel. The panel will not latch a fault condition, until the AC Fail Timer haselapsed. The AC Fail Timer can be set in the range 1 – 720 minutes in one-minute intervals.1 minuteReset Inhibit Time 3 The reset key can be inhibited for a period after the receipt of a firealarm condition at the panel. The Reset Inhibit Time can be set in the range 0 – 900 seconds in one-second intervals.0 secondsSilence Inhibit Time 3 The Silence / Resound key can be inhibited for a period after the panelreceives a fire alarm condition. The Silence Inhibit Time can be set in the range 0 – 900 seconds in one-second intervals. This option is only shown if the Reset Inhibit Time is not equal to zero. Ifthe Reset Inhibit Time is set to zero, this function is made inactive.0 seconds1 Standard panel software will have options for EN54 and BS5839 operation. UL864 operation may be provided for otherworldwide market areas.2 Hochiki ESP devices rely on interrupts for their basic operation and so this parameter is not displayed when the panel isconfigured for Hochiki.3 Only Available if the panel is configured for UL Operation.
