If WalkTest is selected proceed to Step 5. If Comm. Test is selectedproceed to Step 6. If Reboot is selected proceed to Step 7.5. “Walk Test…” is displayed on the system status bar and thecontrol sounds a single beep every 30 seconds. Fault eachzone as described below.6. The system will advance to the Communications Test Screen.Refer to the Communications Test paragraph.7. The system will reboot itself.8. After the reboot sequence is completed, conduct a Walk Testto verify that all transmitters are operational in the system.Walk TestFAULT ZONES. Open each protected door and window in turn and listen for three beeps from the control,followed by the zone’s Voice Descriptor, if it is programmed. Identification of each faulted protection pointshould appear on the display. The display will clear when the door or window is closed.Walk in front of any interior motion detectors (if used) and listen for three beeps and/or voice descriptors, ifprogrammed. The identification of the detector should appear on the display when it is activated, and its voicedescriptor will be announced (if programmed). The display will clear when no motion is detected. Note that ifwireless motion detectors are used, in order to conserve battery life, there is a 3-minute delay betweenactivations.To test all smoke detectors, follow the manufacturer's instructions. The identification of each detector shouldappear on the display when each is activated.If a problem is experienced with any protection point (no confirming sounds, no display), notify your servicecompany.When all protection points have been checked and are intact (closed), there should be no zone identificationnumbers displayed on the touch screen.Test CommunicationsDepending upon the Communication device that installed in your system the following options may bedisplayed. Select the desired option to send a test alarm to the Central Station.• Test EthernetIf the test is successful, the System displays: Service OK• Send Any• Send GSM Message• Send Ethernet MessageIf the test is successful, the System displays: Test Message SentIf the test is not successful, the System displays: Test Message Failed – Not Registered!Exiting Test ModeWhen testing is completed, exit the Walk Test, Dialer Test or Comm. Test mode by selecting the Home key andentering the Master User Code (if required)..NOTE: If the Walk Test mode is inadvertently left active, it automatically turns off after 4 hours. The Dialer Test mode will remainactive until exited via an Off sequence.LYNX Touch Exit/Entry Delay TimesThe LYNX Touch will send an event code to the Central Station after entering and after exiting from Testmode.
