How to Use the Lynx 5200 Alarm SystemUsing your alarm systemThere are multiple ways to turn your new Honeywell alarm system on and multiple waysthe system can protect you. The buttons in the red box below are your shortcut keys. Thesebuttons help make your system easier and quicker to use. The device to the right is your keyfob.The keyfob can make your system very quick and easy to use.How to turn your system onTurning your system on is also known as arming the system. There are a couple differentways to arm your system. There are also a couple different modes for arming your alarm systemdepending on the different devices that have been installed. Before you can arm your system, thesystem has to be ready to arm. The keypad will tell you this on the display and as well with agreen led. (Note the above keypad is ready to arm) If the key pad is not ready to arm it will readNOT READY TO ARM FAULT and the green bar at the top will turn to yellow. See keypadbelow. If you press the ZONES button this will show you what zones are faulted. If your keypadsays you have a fault but the zones button says everything is okay then a panic button waspushed and you will have to clear the keypad (please see the CLEARING THE KEYPADsection of this guide)Now let’s focus on the first mode for arming your system.
