102 Using a Memory CardE❍ The indication may not decrease even though a recording has been made, ormay decrease by 2 images at once.❍ All indicators are displayed in green when a memory card is played back.❍ The remaining image capacity indicates the number of still images, even whenmovies are recorded.Changing the Movie SizeYou can choose between 320 × 240 pixels and 160 × 120 pixels.Open the menu and select [CARD SET UP]. Select [MOVIE SIZE], set it to[160×120] and close the menu.❍ Movies are recorded in the Motion JPEG format.❍ Maximum continuous recording time:File NumbersImages are automatically assigned file numbers from 0101 to 9900 and stored infolders containing up to 100 images. Folders are assigned numbers from 101 to 998.(The sample images on the supplied memory card are saved in the [100canon] folder.)You can choose to use consecutive file numbers (CONTINUOUS) or to reset the filenumber each time a different memory card is inserted (RESET). We recommend settingthe file numbers to CONTINUOUS.CONTINUOUSThe camcorder memorizes the file number of the last image and assigns theconsecutive file number to the next image, even when a new memory card is inserted.(If a higher file number already exists on the memory card, the consecutive numberwill be assigned.) There will be no duplication of file numbers. This is useful fororganizing images on a computer.RESETThe file number will be reset each time a new memory card is inserted, starting with101-0101. If the memory card already contains image files, the consecutive file numberwill be assigned.CARD PLAY (VCR)CARD CAMERAPLAY (VCR)CAMERAMOVIE SIZE•••320×240CARD SET UP320 × 240 10 sec. 2.7 MB 270 KB/sec.160 × 120 30 sec. 2.7 MB 90 KB/sec.Image Size Max.
