70 Instruments and controlsIf the needle repeatedly enters the red zone,stop the car as soon as it is safe to do so andcheck the coolant level, see page 182.Fuel gaugeWhen less than about 10 litres of fuel is leftin the tank, an warning light on the maininstrument panel comes on.Because of the fuel remaining in the tank,the amount of fuel required to fill the tankmay be less than the specified tankcapacity.Refuelling, see page 133.NOTICEIf the needle goes into the red zone,despite these measures, stop the car in asuitable place and allow the engine toidle. If the needle continues to rise, switchoff the engine.WARNINGNever remove the expansion tank fillercap completely while the engine is warm.Slacken the cap carefully.
