56 Locks and car alarmSwitching off the alarm if trippedIf the alarm has been triggered (directionindicators flashing and siren sounding) itcan be turned off by pressing one of thebuttons on the remote control or, if you aresitting in the car, by turning the ignition toposition 3 (see below).Movement sensor 3The movement sensor monitors the cabin.The alarm will be triggered if a movementis detected, such as if someone sticks intheir arm through a smashed window.Note:The movement sensor could also betriggered by an uninstalled cabin heater.To prevent a false alarm, switch off themovement sensor as described on page 57when the cabin heater is to be used.Tilt sensor 3The tilt sensor monitors the angle of the car.The tilt sensor will trigger the alarm if theangle of the car changes relative to its anglewhen it was locked, for example if it is raisedwith a jack.Turns off lights and siren. Unlockscar.Turns off lights and siren. Carremains locked.Turns off lights and siren. Unlocksluggage compartment.Turns off lights and siren. Turns onexterior and cabin lighting.
