A sparkcould ignite this gas that collectsaround the battery. Therefore, alwaysavoid sparks and naked flames in thevicinity of the battery.• The battery contains corrosive sul-phuric acid. Always wear a face maskor goggles when working on thebattery.• If battery acid gets into the eyes orsplashes onto skin or clothing, washthe affected area with liberal amountsof water.
