Remove the toner cartridge following the procedure in chapter2. Never move the printer with the cartridge installed.a. Place the cartridge in its original bag to protect it fromlight. If you no longer have this bag, place the cartridge ina dark bag or wrap it in a dark cloth.b. Make sure the cartridge stays level during the move. Rockit gently to redistribute toner before reloading the cartridgein the printer. See “Toner Cartridge” in chapter 2.5. Remove all interface cables and the power cord.6. Move the printer to a location that meets the guidelines in“Printer Location” in chapter 2.7. Set up the printer following the instructions in chapter 2.Cleaning the PrinterTo help keep your printer running smoothly and avoid unnecessaryproblems, perform the following cleaning steps monthly.
