Becausethere is a possibility that unauthorized calls will be made via this feature, severalsafeguards have been added. The end user must be informed of these to preventunnecessary service calls. DISA can lockout when a predetermined number ofinvalid consecutive calls are attempted. Callers will then receive error tone until theprogrammable timer has expired. The ✱ key may be used to initiate new dial tonewhile in a station to station call. The # key may be used to terminate the DISA calland disconnect the central office line.
