Pixelnumbers-54-When alarm arises, the camera performs output func-tions according to the setup.Inputs:• Input from ALARM IN 1 and ALARM IN 2.• Input from the built-in VMD (Video Motion Detector)that detects motion in video by monitoring a speci-fied area.Outputs:• The message "Alarm" is displayed in the upperright corner of the Main Menu, Camera Control win-dow and Alarm List.• The picture files of alarm events are stored in thecamera.• An e-mail notifies the specified addresses of thealarm activation with or without a picture file.• The stored picture files are sent to the FTP server.• The ALARM OUT terminal on the camera becomesactive.• A notice of an alarm event is sent to the serverspecified in the Panasonic Protocol Setup, usingPanasonic's original protocol.■ When alarm arises• The message "Alarm" is displayed in the upperright corner of the Main Menu, Camera Control win-dow and Alarm List. The alarm status display maybe delayed for a maximum of half a minute due toits refresh cycle.• The pictures related to alarm events are stored inthe camera.The number of pictures stored differs dependingon the pixel number, picture quality and the num-ber of pre-alarm pictures stored. The oldest datawill be replaced by new picture data when thememory capacity is exceeded.
