Auto tracking settingsLARGE : Zooms the target to a size that isapproximately three-fourths (vertically)the size of the monitor screen.Notes:• Sizes shown above are approximate and forreference only. The actual size depends onoperating environment conditions and trackingconditions.• A larger target size setting will result in reducedtracking performance.(3) Configuring the Detection Sensitivity Setting(SENSITIVITY)1. Move the cursor to SENSITIVITY and then tilt thejoystick left or right to select a sensitivity setting. You can set sensitivity to one of three levels: LOW,MID, or HIGH.The factory default setting is MID.Note: A low sensitivity setting can avoid erroneousdetection of tree movement and other naturalmovement, but it also reduces tracking performance.Higher sensitivity, on the other hand, improves trackingperformance but also increases the chance ofdetection error. Configure settings in accordance withthe environment where the camera is located.(4) Configuring the Tracking Activation ModeSetting (TRACKING MODE)1. Move the cursor to TRACKING MODE and then tiltthe joystick left or right to select how much weightshould be given to a target's characteristic features(shape or colour etc.) during tracking.TRACKING MODE can be set to LOW, MID, orHIGH.LOW : Weight given to movement.⇑⇓HIGH : Weight given to characteristics. The factory default setting is MID.Note: When LOW is selected, tracking may switch toanother target that is exhibiting a large degree ofmovement. When HIGH is selected, tracking of aparticular target continues, but tracking performance isreduced when the conditions of the on-screen targetchange. Configure this setting in accordance with theenvironment where the camera is located.(5) Configuring the Zoom Control Setting whileTracking (ZOOM CONTROL)Zoom control can be set to OFF, INTERMIT orCONTINUOUS.1. Move the cursor to ZOOM CONTROL and then tilt thejoystick left or right to select a zoom control setting.OFF : Zoom control is not performed.INTERMIT : Zoom control is performed asmany times as needed duringmotion detection.Zoom control is done once duringauto tracking.-41-■ Using the Auto Tracking SetupMenuDisplay the auto tracking setting menu from the setupmenu to configure camera settings. The auto trackingsetting menu appears first.1. Display the setup menu (page 24), move the cursor toAUTO TRACKING O, and then press the camera(set) button. This will display the auto tracking setting menu.* Items q through !0 below explain each of theitems available on the auto tracking setting menu.(1) Configuring the Installation Height Setting (CAM-ERA HEIGHT)1. Move the cursor to CAMERA HEIGHT and then tiltthe joystick left or right to specify a camera heightsetting. You can set the camera height in the range of2.50M to 30.0M. The factory default setting is2.50M.The installation height of the camera should be theheight between the tracking target and the camera(H1: 2.50M ~ 30.0M). It is not H2.Important: Make sure that you input the installationheight of the camera correctly. An incorrect cameraheight value will result in extremely poor detection andtracking performance.(2) Configuring the Target Size Setting (OBJECTSIZE)1. Move the cursor to OBJECT SIZE and then tilt thejoystick left or right to select a tracking target sizesetting.Size can be set to SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE.SMALL : Zooms the target to a size that isapproximately one-fourth (vertically) thesize of the monitor screen. This is the factory default setting.MEDIUM : Zooms the target to a size that isapproximately one-half (vertically) thesize of the monitor screen.** AUTO TRACKING **CAMERA HEIGHTOBJECT SIZESENSITIVITYTRACKING MODEZOOM CONTROLAUTO RELEASELOST MODEALARMAREA SETINDICATORRET TOP2.50MSMALLMIDMIDCONTINUOUSOFFZOOM-OUTOFFOFFqrweto i!0yuH1TrackingtargetCameraH2(2.5 to 30 meters)
