To access the Interface Setup Page:On the Setup Menu Page, highlight theInterface icon, and press ENTER.Serial Data Format—sets the data format to one ofthe following:• GARMIN—selects the proprietary format usedto exchange waypoint, route, track log andMapSource data with a PC.• NMEA In/NMEA Out—supports input andoutput of standard NMEA 0183 version 3.01data.• TEXT OUT—enables ASCII text output oflocation and velocity information. No input.• NONE—Provides no interfacing capabilities.If you select NMEA In/NMEA Out or Text Out,additional fields then appear. The baud rate for NMEAIn/NMEA Out is locked at 4800. If selecting Text Outhighlight the Baud Rate field, and press ENTER.Use the ROCKER to highlight the desired setting andpress ENTER.USB Mass Storage—allows the microSD card to beused as a USB Mass Storage device. It also allowstransfer of Track Log Data to Garmin MapSource.To activate USB Mass Storage:1. Connect the unit to acomputer using the USBcable.2. Highlight the on-screenUSB Mass Storagebutton and pressENTER.3. Observe an illustrationof the GPSMAP 60Cxconnected to a computerand an Unplug or Eject icon shown in yourPC’s system tray or a storage device icon forthe microSD on a Macintosh®.4. Double-click on your PC’s My Computer toobserve a new Removable Disk Drive listed.
