Methods of navigating to a destination• If you select the Go To button on the WaypointPage or other Find Menu items, the GPSMAP60Cx creates a straight path (point to point)from your current location to that location.• If you select the Navigate button on a RoutePage, the unit creates a route composed ofseveral user waypoints or Find items, withthe last being your destination. It navigatesdirectly from point to point. Before each turnin the route, a page shows a guidance messageand graphic of the turn. You can view the turnsat any time by pressing up or down on theROCKER while the route is active.• Selecting the Follow Roads option on theRouting Setup Page allow both Go Tonavigation and point to point routing tonavigate using roads.Routes use existing roadways to automaticallycalculate a route to your destination. Turns onroadways are added to the Active Route Pageand are preceded by a guidance message witha graphic of the turn. If there are not enoughroads at your location to calculate a route, amessage to that effect appears.Navigating a RouteAfter you create a route, you can begin navigationimmediately or save it to the Saved Routes list.To navigate a saved route:1. Press MENU twice to open the Main Menu.2. Highlight the Routes icon, and press ENTERto open the Routes Page.3. Highlight a saved route, and press ENTER toopen the Route Page.4. Highlight the Navigate button, and pressENTER.5. To stop navigating, press MENU, select StopNavigation, and press ENTER.Using the Follow Roads option on the Routing SetupPage increases the number of turns and shows anActive Route Page with a list of turns. If you selectedthe Off Road option, you can view only the list ofpoints for a route from the Active Route Page.
