GPSMAP 3206/3210 Owner’s Manual 10aPPendIX > carIng for the gPsMaP 3206/3210appendIXIf the active GRI Chain, secondary stations, or offsets were changed since thewaypoint was created, the waypoint now references the active GRI-chain andsecondary stations and adjusts the TD coordinates accordingly. Remember thatthe GPS is not relying on the LORAN signal for navigation and actually convertsthe TD coordinate to a useful latitude/longitude coordinate (in the background)before storing the waypoint to memory or using it for navigation. Because of this, the unit can navigate to a TD coordinate anywhere in the world. For more information on LORAN TDs, you can download Garmin’s Loran TDPosition Format Handbook from the Garmin Web site.Caring for the GPSMAP 3206/3210The GPSMAP 3206/3210 case is constructed of high-quality materials and doesnot require user maintenance except cleaning.Cleaning the CaseClean the unit’s outer casing (except for the screen) using a cloth dampened witha mild detergent solution and then wipe dry.
