Contact your Garmin dealer or GarminProduct Support to purchase the Marine Remote Control.To operate the remote control, point the IR (infrared) window on the remotetoward the unobstructed IR window on the lower-right corner of theGPSMAP 3206/3210.All keys on the remote control operate in the same manner as the keypad on theGPSMAP 3206/3210. Each key’s primary function appears on the key. To activatethe secondary functions for the ADJ/MENU, NAV/MOB, DATA/CNFG, andThumb Stick (ENTER/MARK) keys, press and hold the key.The Thumb Stick combines the operations of the ROCKER andENTER/MARK key. Use it to select menu options, change settings, enter data,and confirm entry. You can also control movement of the pointer on the MapPage. Press ENTER on the Thumb Stick to select a highlighted item or begindata entry. Press and hold the Thumb Stick to mark a waypoint.Installing the Remote Control BatteriesThe remote requires two AAA alkaline batteries. To install the batteries, pressdown on the battery door clip, and then pull the battery door away from theremote. Install the batteries observing the correct polarity (see the inside of thebattery compartment). Replace the cover, and make sure it is closed all the way.NOTE: The remote is for use in shaded or enclosed environments. Directsunlight interferes with infrared operation.
