The ‘MAP’field lets you set the map to a north up, track up (thedirection of current travel) or a desired track up (thedirection of an active route leg) orientation.The ‘RINGS’ field enables the on-screen range rings,which help you estimate the distance to items depictedon the map. The distance defined by each ring is deter-mined by the current zoom scale. The ‘ROUTE’ fieldallows you to display a solid course line connecting eachpoint along your route (or a single course line in the caseof a GOTO).
