Favorites Buttons4-40Specifying Destinations Easily and Quickly4Favorites ButtonsYou can register the frequently used scan settings, send settings, and destinationsin a favorites button for future use. This feature is useful if you frequently senddocuments with the same document settings to the same destination.The following settings can be registered in a favorites button:• Destinations• Settings from the Scan Settings or the Send Settings screen (See Chapter 3,“Specifying the Scan Settings,” or “Basic Sending Methods,” on p. 2-2.)• Sender’s name (See “Registering the Unit Name,” on p. 1-11.)Once you register a favorites button, you can send documents simply by selectingthe favorites button containing the desired document settings and destinations, andpressing (Start).IMPORTANTIf the Language Switch setting is set to ‘On’, some characters are restricted andcannot be entered. To enter all characters, set the Language Switch setting to ‘Off’.(See Chapter 3, “Configuring the Machine’s Basic Settings,” in the Reference Guide.)NOTE• The document settings and destinations registered in a favorites button are notdeleted when the power is turned OFF.• If a destination included in a favorites button is deleted from the Address Book, it isalso deleted from the settings registered in the favorites button.• If a destination is not registered in a favorites button, you need to specify destinationswhen you send documents.Registering the Favorites ButtonsFollow this procedure to register scan settings, send settings, and destinations in afavorites button.
