Theindicator light will come onmomentarily, indicating that thesesensors have been disabled for thenext alarm system arming cycle.ImmobilizerSee Radio Frequency Statement 0 386.Immobilizer OperationThis vehicle has a passivetheft-deterrent system.The system does not have to bemanually armed or disarmed.The vehicle is automaticallyimmobilized when the vehicle isturned off.The immobilization system isdisarmed when the vehicle is startedor the ignition is in ACC/ACCESSORYand a valid transmitter is present inthe vehicle.The security light, in the instrumentcluster, comes on if there is a problemwith arming or disarming thetheft-deterrent system.The system has one or more RKEtransmitters matched to animmobilizer control unit in thevehicle. Only a correctly matched RKEtransmitter will start the vehicle.If the transmitter is ever damaged,you may not be able to start yourvehicle.When trying to start the vehicle, thesecurity light may come on brieflywhen the ignition is turned on.If the engine does not start and thesecurity light stays on, there is aproblem with the system. Turn theignition off and try again.If the vehicle will not change ignitionmodes (ACC/ACCESSORY, on, off), andthe RKE transmitter appears to beundamaged, try another transmitter.Or, you may try placing thetransmitter in the transmitter pocketlocated in the center console.
