Language SettingsThe Language settings allow you to select the displaylanguage.You can select from a list of built-in languages, or, if youhave an SD memory card with additional language files,you can select one of those languages.Language Setting screenSelect the display language.LanguageSelect Language and then press the drop-down listto select the display language from a list of built-inlanguages.• Default: English-US• Built-in languages: English-US, English-UK,French, French-CA, German, Spanish, Italian,Portuguese, Russian, UkrainianAnotherSelect Another and then press to select thedisplay language from an SD memory card.Language files must be stored in the followingdirectory on the SD memory card:\private\meigroup\pcc\pbxpt\nt400Notice• If you have modified any of the preset presencesettings, changing the language resets them totheir default settings.Note• This language setting is not effective for thesub-display on the Calls screen, the FeatureKey screen (in Call List mode), and theProgramming screen. To change the languagesettings for the sub-display, see "PTProgramming (Page 125)".• For details about obtaining additional languagefiles, consult your dealer.IP Address SettingsTo properly connect the KX-NT400 to a network, the IPaddress settings must be configured to match thesettings of the network. Consult your administrator fordetails about the correct settings.Note• The KX-NT400 requires 2 IP addresses.Confirm that the 2 IP addresses are preparedfor it before configuring the IP Address settings.IP Address Setting screen (1/2)Enter the IP addresses that the KX-NT400 will use tocommunicate over the network. If you use a DHCPserver, these addresses will be automatically obtainedfrom the DHCP server.DHCPSelect whether to use a DHCP server to obtain theIP addresses for the KX-NT400.If you select Disable, you must enter the followingIP address settings manually.• Default: EnableVoIP IP AddressEnter the IP address for sending and receiving VoIPdata.Application IP AddressEnter the IP address for sending and receiving otherIP data.Subnet MaskEnter the subnet mask for the network segment thatthe KX-NT400 is connected to.Default GatewayEnter the IP address of the default gateway.IP Address Setting screen (2/2)Enter the IP address of the PBX or PBXs that theKX-NT400 will communicate with.Document Version 2010-01 Operating Instructions 159Installation and Settings
