86 MRP-2002 Series Instruction Manual — P/N 53049:E5 7/28/2016Operating Instructions Special System Timers• Release Stage Coded: activation of an input zone programmed to activate an output ReleasingCircuit will start a Pre-discharge delay timer and cause the programmed indicating NACoutput to pulse at a 1/2 sec. on and 1/2 sec. off rate during pre-discharge, turn on steady duringdischarge and then 1.5 sec. on and 1.5 sec off after discharge time has expired.• Release Stage Pre-discharge: activation of an input zone programmed to activate an outputReleasing Circuit will start a Pre-discharge delay timer and cause the programmed indicatingNAC output to turn on steady during discharge, remain on or turn on steady during thedischarge and then turn off after discharge time has expired.• Release Stage Discharge: activation of an input zone programmed to activate an outputReleasing Circuit will start a Pre-discharge delay timer and cause the programmed indicatingNAC output to remain off. When discharge begins, the NAC will turn on steady and when thedischarge time has expired, the NAC will turn off.4.13 Special System Timers4.13.1 Silence Inhibit TimerThis option, if selected, prevents the Alarm Silence key from functioning for 60 seconds followingan alarm. A new alarm during the initial 60 second period will not cause the timer to restart with anew 60 seconds. Silence Inhibit operation requires the approval of the local AHJ.4.13.2 Autosilence TimerIf Autosilence is selected, the notification appliances, programmed as silenceable, will automati-cally be silenced after a programmable duration of from 5 to 30 minutes. Pressing the Drill key willrestart the timer. Autosilence operation requires the approval of the local AHJ.4.13.3 Trouble ReminderIf selected, this feature causes a reminding ‘beep’ every 15 seconds during an alarm (after theAlarm Silence key is pressed) and every two minutes during a trouble condition (after the Acknowl-edge/Step or Alarm Silence key is pressed). The ‘beeps’ from the onboard piezo sounder will occuruntil the alarm or fault is cleared.Note that if Trouble Reminder feature is not selected and the trouble is not cleared within 24 hours, the piezo will resound, indicating that the trouble condition still exists.4.13.4 Pre-Discharge Delay TimersThe Pre-Discharge Delay Timers can be set to a value between 00 and 60 seconds. Upon activationof an alarm, the agent release will be delayed by the amount of time programmed into the Pre-Dis-charge Delay Timers.4.13.5 Discharge TimersThe Discharge Timers can be set to Always On or a value of between 01 and 20 minutes. Followingactivation of a releasing circuit, the agent will continue to release either continuously until the panelis reset (Always On) or until the Discharge Timers count down to 0.4.13.6 Waterflow Delay TimerIf selected, this option will delay the activation of a waterflow type alarm for a programmable timeduration from 1 to 90 seconds. This delay is in addition to any time delay inherent in the waterflowdevice. This feature requires the approval of the local AHJ.
